Tidal House #5

Location was ok but we thought we were closer to the beach. There is a Beware of Bears sign at the area you have to walk through to get to the beach. We didn't walk through there but one time because of that.

There wasn't a second bedroom as we had thought we booked. There were two beds separated by an open ceiling and a door. Not good for a snore-er and their spouse who doesn't snore. The windows were so dirty my husband and I cleaned two of them to be able to see out. Fans had hair and stuff in them. That was gross. Floors were sandy and I get it's by the beach but not sure it had been swept before our arrival. The bathroom was not clean (soap dispenser was rusted and dirty, shower curtain was molded and there was hair on the floor). Lots of spiders.

The chalet is beautiful and it worked great for the 5 of us. The host was incredibly responsive, even late in the evening, and I was very impressed! Super appreciate it!! The chalet was stocked nicely with supplies.

A few things could have made the stay better. Upstairs was hot and with no way to open windows on one side of the chalet, we couldn't get a cross breeze going. It was pretty stuffy up there, which was surprising as it was in the low 70s that day. Also, there were no power outlets near one of the beds, so we couldn't plug in a fan or charge our phones. Some sort of nightstands upstairs would be very useful.

The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. good location, able to walk most everywhere we wanted to go.

The mosquito population was horrible. Every time we used the back path to the beach we were swarmed by them.

A code was texted to me before the stay, king and queen bed upstairs were comfortable, good location to ocean entry and close to food and shopping

Couldn’t get through to manager once there to get wash clothes, and blanket for pull out bed, wall heaters don’t work so used plug in heater but it was still a bit chilly in the morning downstairs, shower head sprayer wasn’t working, pull out bed had a dirty sheet on it with sand on it. Walls very thin to jointing Chalet
