Location and security

It’s a basement, stepping down and sound when people walking upstairs. It’s unavoidable, unfortunately government regulations are such, it’s expected every properties in USA

Having access to a warm shower and a place to sleep at such a reasonable price in New York was a huge plus. Also, the host was very kind and responsive to messages, which left a good impression.

As mentioned in other reviews, the noise was definitely an issue. I’ve stayed in guesthouses before and thought I could tolerate some noise, but it turned out to be more difficult than expected. Additionally, there weren’t many other Asians in the area, so I felt a bit out of place. If you’re looking for a calm and comfortable environment in New York, it might be worth spending a bit more.

1. Told entrance was on street level. It wasn’t. 2. Steps down to room were difficult with luggage. 3. Broken window in kitchen. 4. Cockroaches 5. Only 2 thin bath towels. 6. Noisy upstairs

Spacious and had most of what we needed.

Front entrance not welcoming and stairs were unsafe with luggage. No toaster or grill shelf. Bedside light not working.

Price is the main reason I booked. The place is doable, has kitchen to cook meals, and coffee machine for hot water to make tea. Spacious for solo traveller. Chinese take away just nearby for quick meals. Walkable distance to Jamaica station if without luggage.

Wear and tear of bed is showing on one side. Weak body support. Need to sleep on the other side. Distance by foot from Jamaica station is a bit far with luggage.
