Excellent location - ensuite bathroom. Comfortable room.

Breakfast could perhaps have been a little bit better. There was a do-it-yourself breakfast bar but I seem to remember there was no toast or toaster. Door was a little bit clunky and instructions about what to do with one's key before leaving were vague.

amazing staff at the tavern. Lovely food. I ended up seeing an amazing play at the Tavern. The bathroom was very good. the bed was very comfortable.

It was really cold particularly in the morning. The room smelled like someone has smoked there before. They charged me a deposit which I have never encountered before. It was a little frustrating and yet another step before you get in. The staff in the tavern were amazing. So friendly and nice and I managed to get a ticket for the play in the theatre in the Tavern which saved the experience for me.

There was a complimentary section on the room floor with a small amount of corn flakes and a jar of muesli. Lots of milk and sparkling water in a big fridge below this. Bowls and spoons. First bowl I tried was not clean really. I had a tiny amount of the corn flakes only because of having to take pills.

Decor and was handy for where I was visiting. Great shower. Have stayed before and like the large rooms and location.

Windows left open when I arrived & heating off meant the room was very cold for the first night even once the radiators were on (was shivering in bed). The bathroom radiator needs bleeding (like it did when I stayed in the same room a while back) meaning the bathroom was always cold (only the very bottom of the towel rail was warm). The fridge outside in the hallway is very noisy and kept me awake (as did a big party in the garden of a neighbouring house until gone 3am on my 2nd night - but the area is very studenty so always a risk).

The room was spacious, comfortable and very well located.

Part of our stay fell on a Saturday night. The staff in the bar area were playing music at full blast on the speakers well after the pub closed until 1:30am. I went down to ask them when it would stop and they were all at the bar, clearly very drunk and drinking the pub’s alcohol. They told me it would be done soon but were slurring and half of them didn’t even notice I was in the room because the music was so loud. Not great from a security perspective! They then kept the music at full blast for another 45 minutes and showed no regards for their guests upstairs. I was very disappointed at this, which put a downer on what was otherwise a nice stay.

Above a pub theatre serving excellent food
