Wolds Motel - Mt. Pleasant

The room was big. Close to town and casino. Friendly check in lady.

Room floor sticky and cigarette burns on sheets and comforter. People live in motel rooms with their personal stuff outside their rooms as well. Sketchy and worried car would be broken into. No one there to check out just a small unsecured box that you put your motel key in.

Location was excellent..

Run down severally ,filthy and gross... This place has alot of potential but nobody and I mean nobody was there to answer questions or give you clean bedding and office must not open till noon...They had a man and woman cleaning rooms that we watched and they were in there for less then 10 minutes and didn't take any clean linen in to change..I am a house keeper myself and have never seen such filthyness ...the shower curtain was a plastic throw away and you could tell it was on there for a extremely long time...the housekeepers didn't even have cleaning supplies with them just a broom..This place had tweekers living there and one of them came right up to me and asked if that was my room and asked if I would let him in because he said he had hid mushrooms and 20.00 dollars in there..was there for a kid rock concert and it was only 5 minutes from venue and close to stores and restaurants but never again...they need to get the drug addicts and the welfare bums out of there and get a real housekeeper..The rooms were huge and has potential but will need to upgrade and be more accommodating before it could get any better..this place could make double on concert nights just like the other hotels if they took pride in its establishment..

The property accurately resembled the pictures on the website.

Comfortable, clean beds and pillows. Nice simulated wood floors rather than carpet. Microwave and refrigerator. In quiet residential neighborhood rather than on a busy highway. Nice wall decor.

No breakfast. Some Michigan facilities have limited food post-COVID; One website listing Wold Motel said bagels and coffee. No coffee service even in room; but I didn't ask if we could get a coffee maker. Ice machine broken. Bathroom floor grout and baseboards could use some TLC.
