Modern 1-Bed Flat in Wigan

Visiting friends on a canal boat so convenient location.

Needs a lick of fresh paint and a thorough clean. Needs new pillows and towels all a bit tired. Food between sofa cushions, cobwebs in bathroom, long red hairs in bedroom.

That was secure parking although General cleaning was okay however see comment regarding the cooker. Providing coffee and tea was a very nice touch however there was no milk. I hadn’t realised when I’d arrived that that was the case and then it was quite late in the evening when I suddenly realised there was no milk and not knowing anywhere where the local shops were to actually purchase although I saw was restaurants and a pub. Restaurants and pubs are very close for those that don’t wish to cook

once you’re in the car park and you’re walking out, you have to remember the code to get back out as the gate appears to be locked. The entrance says that there would be no parking there car parks on the curb the whole time making it difficult to unload unload your vehicle as the car park is quite some distance to walk when you’ve got arms full of suitcases, et cetera The advert said that they would be conditioner, et cetera in the bathroom these were empty luckily I took my own There was no tea towel to dry up once you’d actually washed your cups, et cetera. Would’ve been nice to have even some milk jiggers as a tea coffee and sugar was supplied but was unable to use them as no milk and didn’t realise until it was too late but there’s been no milk provided. I’d also forgotten to pack milk. I want to use the oven only to find it was greasy and thick with grease in some areas on the tray and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. My first night there was a lovely sleep not my second night which was a Friday night the restaurants under the apartments their extractor fans were going till about midnight and was a very strong smell of grease so I wasn’t able to have the window open at all and I could still hear the fan even though the window was closed. If it was hot which was at one stage which is why I wanted the air, he couldn’t keep the window open. There was no fan supplied to circulate any air. I thought it once saved somebody was coming into the flat as the door rattles with every other Door and especially when the store door opens, which is very unnerving when you’re there by yourself There was obviously people smoking in the other flat which Cleary as their choice, but the smoke odours filled the stairwells which was very unpleasant to have to walk-through

Irene was an amazing host. Super helpful, recommended local restaurants and was availble if needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Private gated parking was delightful.

Nothing, it was perfect.

The location.

The entire flat smelt of smoke. The duvet cover was dirty, the bathroom was dirty and had cobwebs on the ceiling. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower pressure was very poor, the shower head was broken and meant I couldn't wash. Laundry was left in the washing machine. The main door wouldn't open, I had to ask a passerby for help and even he struggled to push it open. There is noise until 12.30am/1am from the shops below going into the bins etc. I had to leave after one night. I requested a refund for the two nights I didn't stay and I still haven't received a refund. I had to go to a premier inn instead so I am massively out of pocket and inconvenienced. Irene did apologise but the flat isn't in a rentable condition. It's disappointing because I stayed here before and the experience was different then.
