The Mount B&B

Everything was perfect from the Hosts Caroline and Clive to the stunning location, to the beautiful room with a mountain view and the amazing breakfast. Loved the company at breakfast and the art on the walls. The little touches of locally made toiletries and a little tin of sweet treats to have wirh your tea or coffee. Perfection cant get any better 😊

Eating breakfast outside is amazing. Owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There's a lake within walking distance to do water activities.

It would be helpful to have someone available at all times during the check in period incase of issues with the key safe, or if not be available on the phone.

Caroline & Clive, the owners, very friendly and helpful. Lovely garden & views. Pub that does good food a short walk from B&B. Friendly Bengal cat.

EVERYTHING. There was homemade ginger cake (best I've ever had) delicious produce for breakfast, great chats, wonderful art, books and decor plus Clive and Caroline were the most amazing hosts. The garden and flowers were so beautiful and location perfect. And to top it all off, our dog was allowed to stay.

Lovely guesthouse. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Wonderfully garden. Great location and fabulous hosts! Oh and great breakfast.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. Great location, spacious, accommodating hosts who went out their way to help any way they could. Will definitely be staying again.

I really liked the accomodation the shepherds hut was a fabulous place to stay as a solo traveller, it was clean warm and cosy and it was very quiet and felt very safe & secure & I would definitely love to visit & stay again. There's no TV in the room which is perfect to just be able to relax and unwind with a book and a radio. The hosts were wonderful and were really helpful & they made a great cooked breakfast & I was able to sit outside in the wonderful garden & sit in the sun & enjoy the views of Skiddaw.

I think a little later checkout would be good for guests & possibly an earlier breakfast.

The property was set in a wonderful location. The Garden was beautiful and wrapped around the property. The house was large and designed really well. The collection of art work was impressive. The overall feeling of the house was cosy and warm. Our individual room was excellent. Very spacious and a lovely view of Skiddaw. The Hosts were incredible, Clive and Caroline served breakfast really smoothly and went over and above with any other requests. It’s a lovely place to stay and with two of the nicest hosts around.

We visited the place early June'23. The hosts are such great people. From sharing the directions to the place and checking with us our food preferences before our arrival, made it all seamless. The property is beautiful and warm. We had the most amazing breakfast each morning in their beautiful garden area cooked by the hosts themselves. It was truely delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful stay with them.
