The owner cancelled stay at very short notice due to uninhabitable nature of property. On first planned visit he texted at 06:30 on the day I was travelling from Plymouth, on the second occasion he messaged me after 22:00 on the evening before I was due to travel south from Scotland. In the text he reported that the property had not been a fit state for rental for some weeks! He said I could claim the cost back but did not offer any compensation for the trouble these cancellations caused to me and my female companion, a registered disabled person.

The property offered as a substitute on the first occasion was discovered to be very poor- o adjacent parking, no towels supplied, kettle did not work, litter on bedroom floor, carpets in lounge a trip hazard; previous occupant’s toilet materials left in bathroom plus partially consumed food in freezer. The owner should not be forced allowed to use Booking.com!

Location was ok

The place was disgusting. We asked to cancel and they ignored us.

The lounge was comfortable. The location was great for what we wanted. The property was clean. Parking was good.

The front door was swollen, so hard to open and close. The sliding conservatory door, did not close and was very difficult to move. The door into the lounge did not close. The beds were very uncomfortable in that we were able to feel the springs in the mattresses. There were a number of tiles missing in the bathroom and the window did not close. A couple of cupboard doors in the kitchen were hanging off. There were no wine glasses which I would have expected. We had to buy a couple of bath towels, which we did not expect to have to do as other places we have stayed they were supplied.

Almost everything. It smells awful, there’s mould on the walls the sheets had stains on there’s tiles missing on the walls in the bathroom. The conservatory door doesn’t shut or open fully.

Beautiful place comfy and cosy I would stay again definitely.
