We did not try the breakfast

The room could have been cleaner. There were dead lady bugs all over the floor and the previous guests hair was still in the shower. Also there is a gap in the door that leads outside.

The staff was precious and very helpful. The bed was nice and big. The room was clean. I thought the happy hour was a nice gesture and breakfast was also.

It smelled like cigarette smoke and there were a ton of ladybugs in the room. I was going to say something about it, but we were only there one night. I feel like it’s an obvious thing you could see as a staff member. You walk in and they were all over the curtain.

Employees pleasant and helpful when we could find them. Morning breakfast was outstanding for this class of motel and even some higher end places. Waffles were large and tasty. Wife said the eggs were cooked great. She used to be a cook. Bacon was great according to our personal taste. They offered the other usual suspects for breakfast. Probably saved us $90 in not having to go pay for morning vittles. Outstanding aspect of the Blue Sky Inn IMHO. Very laid-back atmosphere there at the Blue Sky Inn. The bed was comfortable. We had the handicap room. Convenient to where we wanted to be and also downtown Blue Ridge. The cost was lower for the class of hotels in the area. A big plus. Other places were significantly higher in price and sometimes double the cost. We would stay there again solely based on cost and breakfast, now being forewarned about the TV and internet. Three nights ran us all in around $450 USD. No surprise fees.

I never found the happy hour, not that we needed it. There was often no one at the front desk. We would have walk around and look for them. Calling the main number did not help either. You had to leave a message. Never any call backs. When we did find staff, they were pleasant. The TV is set for ROKU. Lots of pre-programming shows and movies. In order to access the TV apps, you had to know your passcodes. The internet was weak. Instructions provided did not have the correct password. It was close, but not accurate. We had to figure it out. WIFI signal often said we were on the internet but not connected. We ended up using our own mobile data. If you're just passing through, probably not a big deal, but we were there 3 nights and spent some time in the room. We had to ask for room service, so we just got towels. Decently clean. Could use a refresh, but that's an owner business decision. The cost was lower for this class of hotels in the area. Other places were higher and sometimes double the cost. We would stay there again solely based on cost and now being forewarned about the TV and internet.

Very clean.. very convenient to everything.

Bed was little low and slow draining in sink

The room was clean and the front desk attendant was friendly. The inn was within a short driving distance of downtown Blue Ridge. We did not partake of breakfast or happy hour, so I cannot speak to those.

1. It cost $75 dollars more than what I had agreed when booking online (due to taxes or something, I'm not quite sure). The lady at the front desk was very kind and offered to split the difference. If the facilities were nicer, I would not have minded paying more. However, I could have gotten a much larger (and nicer) space for just a little bit more. 2. The room was VERY outdated. I'm not sure where they got the pictures online (other than updating just a couple of rooms). The whole space was very bare. The bathroom was tiny. The flooring shifted when we walked on it as it had not been installed properly. The AC unit was incredibly loud, and the buttons were so worn down I couldn't tell what I needed to press. There was a hump in the middle of the bed that was very uncomfortable to sleep on. 3. There was no phone in the room to call the front desk. I used to work in a hotel, and I know that it's much easier for guests to dial 0 or 1 on the phone to contact the front desk than it is to look up the phone number every single time. For safety and security, there should be a phone. 4. Someone moved into the room above us on our second night. We could hear EVERY step they took from the moment they walked up the stairs to the moment they went to bed. 5. We wanted to check out around 8 am, but the front door was locked and no one was up front. We left our key fob in the room per the instructions, but I would have felt much more secure and comfortable leaving the fob with the front desk attendant.

Breakfast was good, location was great due to the fact that we were going to the BBQ festival in town.

There really wasn't anything that we didn't like.

The breakfast was great. The sweet young lady was very helpful. We loved the ballroom where we ate.

We did not like the spiders. There was 3 in our room . They are not there anymore.
