Quob Park Old House Hotel & Spa

I loved everything! First of all, they called me beforehand to check if I really wanted the cot in the room since we booked the ‘smallest room’. I thought that was very considerate and still went for the cot because our daughter sleeps better in it. Turned out: the ‘smallest’ room wasn’t that small in my opinion so I was pleasantly surprised! When checking in, they walked with us to the room and helped carry the stuff, great service! The towels are super big and fluffiest I’ve ever had in a hotel. There’s also AC in the room. And I had the a really good sleep. Bed was comfortable! Breakfast was also nice. Parking available in front of the hotel for free!

The Wisteria room was superb

The hotel was lovely, we stayed in the Heritage suite, which was a very large main bedroom, with a nice bathroom, but also a second lounge with a fantastic large walk in shower. The room was very comfortable, ideal for just wanting to relax for a weekend. The breakfast tasty, and plenty of options that you can just ask for what you want. The spa was fantastic, and great to have as part of your stay.

The staff are excellent and really make you feel welcome and couldn't do enough to help.the hotel is very good value for your money.the decor is well thought out.the breakfast was also fantastic.

It's hard not to like this place but the only thing I'd say is the floors can be a little noisy but that's just a minor.

I knew the hotel is a luxurious boutique as I visited previously, I knew the food will be high standard but what impressed me this time more than everything else, was the staff professionalism. I want to mention Megan who looked after us so well from when we arrived, Nanda friendly and profesional and Daniel looked after us at the restaurant, (it was one of the best steak tartar I ever eat)and Alexandra deserves a medal dealing with all of us at the breakfast. Thank you so much for everything.

Hmmm…the only thing I didn’t like is the price of their english sparkling wine gone up just in few months from £40 to £110. Is very tasty but that is too much of an increase in price. It seem it was wrongly priced before. We did got a glass each as a welcome drink and one in the restaurant so we all happy about that.

The location was good as it was not far from the ferry and we needed a one night stay after getting off a late ferry. There is a great dog walk along a disused railway 5 mins walk away. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Could not park in hotel car park as a previous guest was blocking entrance. The car park is very small anyway. However, you can park on street directly outside but have to move by 9am in morning. The hotel itself is very small with mirrors everywhere to make it look bigger; very small outside space. Room we had with our two dogs was also very small and cramped. We were told this was the smallest room in the hotel; why were we therefore booked into this room when they knew we were coming with two dogs?! Decor in room was not in keeping with old property, it was cladded with wood. The bed was very soft and duvet was too thick. You have to book a breakfast slot when you arrive as the dining room only has four tables - never ever had to do this before in the hundreds of hotels we have stayed at. Therefore you can’t be flexible in the morning with your time. Unfortunately despite the staff being very nice we won’t be staying again.
