Rooms are only accessible vis steps, but understand it's a listed building. The signpost to the building isn't clear.

It was central to local shops and the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer a very good choice for breakfast.

The Rose Petal room which we stayed in was quite small and it had a large protruding built in dressing table to the right of the bed which made it difficult to get in/out of the bed.

Areas of the spa were quite dirty, the hot tubs were not cleaned overnight. Staff there were plesent when found. There was no formal introduction to the spa or facilities, or guidance on use. Both showers in our room had to be run for 10 minutes or so to provide even warm water. My wife was forced to have a cold shower at one stage. The shower in the small room was hanging loose on the wall. The shower in the bigger room was leaking like a sieve. No one mentioned any of the other services or deals available at the nearby estate.

Staff were excellent, really hospitable and went the extra mile including a very late check in, late check out, and arranging bookings with the wider estate. Location was excellent with lots of local walks nearby and a co-op across the road. The spa is round the back of the hotel, the staff can book a massage for you, they have lovely ESPA products. Clean rooms. Breakfast was included and excellent (includes cold and hot items). Toiletries included in the room. A/C in the room gives a modern touch. Bed was super comfy. There is a Quob car that helpfully took us to and from the vineyard restaurant, booked by the reception staff. I would certainly stay again.

With single glazed windows, the room was a little noisy from the road traffic outside. The en suite bathroom, while clean, had some mould which let it down, but understandable with a listed building. The electronic door knob was unfortunately broken during our stay but we were kindly attended to by the staff.

Quirky, small boutique hotel. Staff very attentive and quiet location. Sound boards in the room so not aware of noise elsewhere. Comfortable bed and clean facilities.

We love the staff, always very attentive.

The idea was good, but were details that people invested in wrong things rather than in “quality and taste” Coffee machine was dirty in the room. We had a massive tv in the room, awesome. Was about £16k+, but the breakfast was horrible, with no flavours, cheap ingredients, over cooked eggs, no love. Loved the area, at the first sight was a good option, but overpriced for what it was, thankfully we did not went to the ‘fine dinning’ restaurant.
