Sound insulation is poor - I could hear the lady next doors entire phone call. It didn't bother me as I always bring ear plugs!

The village is lovely, the staff are amazing and the breakfast was one of the best we have tasted and the selection is great.

Old property, therefore creaky floorboards. Certain parts of the bathroom were a bit grotty, the grout needed cleaning around some tiles. The plastic trim at the bottom of the shower screen needs a good clean or leaving in some bleach to get it clean. The toilet seat was loose and the flush mechanism the loo could do with being on the opposite side. The main front door very dirty where people twist the lock. The two planters outside the front door could do with a lick of paint. Overall appearance of the front of property is a little untidy.

Great Location, Exceptional customer service, staff went out of their way to help, cosy, small boutique spa with everything you could need. Fabulous room, full of character and charm. We will be returning!

Very lovely old Georgian townhouse that has been tastefully modernised. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Charming little town.

No major complaints. Parking a bit limited down the side of the hotel and tricky to manoeuvre if you have a large car.

The bed was very comfortable. Nice to have a button to call someone if needed. Breakfast was nice and served well.

It took 15 minutes to get into the hotel to check in as I got no answer on the phone they provide on the doorstep. No apology for the wait. I was informed there were 6 parking spaces but on arrival found 4 but 1 car across 2 as no lines where assigning how to park to fit 4. Car park locally that was free was closed for the 2 days I was visiting. Entering my room I got an overpowering smell of air freshener, after airing for 30 mins discovered it wasn’t leaving. I was told there was no air freshener in the room but It was so overpowering I can smell it on all of the clothes I had in that room for only 2 nights! To which I was given a complimentary drink 😤 The tv could not be viewed when laying back in bed because its stand it to low. The room was not wiped down properly so there was dust build up behind lamps and other place. The floorboards were very creaky, I could not get out of the bed without making an awful noise. Noise from the road outside was constant until late hours. The toilet seat wasn’t clean. Shelf in bathroom was neglected. The bath area was quite disgusting. The place has clearly been only wiped down but not cleaned in a long time. Parts of the grout between the tiles were yellow with a build up of peoples dirt, and other bits were orange from a build up of limescale, but when showered close up actually just falls off. Others hairs on the tiles around shower height. Parts of the filler around had mould. After seeing pictures of their bathrooms online vs the one I got was a complete disappointment!!! Iv had much nicer bathrooms at travel lodges and b&b’s! I wish could say that the food was great but I only had breakfast because that is all that’s served in the hotel. The vineyard and restaurant are miles away. The breakfast was presented beautifully but was nothing special. The bacon, sausage and egg were disappointing. Over cooked meats and cheap eggs. You need to pay for coffee served at breakfast.

All the rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy due to the traffic. Our room was cold and had too much furniture in it. No body lotion supplied No biscuits on the tea tray. A weird machine that serves wines. We didn’t like this as we felt it affected the quality of the wine.
