The bed was extremely comfortable - which is the most important thing. Staff very nice. Beautiful building.

Hotel parking too tight and had to wait a time for front door to be opened, was only about 8pm. Had to complete form with all personal details of both guests at registration when we just wanted to get key. Lots of steep narrow steps to bedroom, it is an old building so expected but not helped by fire extinguisher and mirror placement impeding access further. Cooked English breakfast wasn’t great but other items were better. This may sound strange but righted handed tea cups only, you just can’t hold in your left hand. Just too much unnecessary decorative stuff everywhere, sometimes less is more.

We had no hot water. We had to boil a kettle to have a strip wash,the tv was buffering all night then saying no internet connection,and there was blood on the door where the mini fridge was kept. The room was Baltic cold, we had enough and left by 7.30am. Very disappointed. Messaged the hotel and they didn’t seem concerned in the slightest.

We had a wonderful two-day getaway from the City, in this beautiful village location. The room was stylish, clean, well-insulated with air con and a window for fresh air. There were some nice modern touches with portable buttons for light and heat control, and an energy monitoring digital shower control. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going the extra-mile to make us feel comfortable and well-attended, particulary Kerri-Jay who we saw on both mornings at breakfast. The breakfast itself was a feast we had barely prepared for, full of great options and there was plenty to eat. Nearby were some lovely pubs and restaurants, and a wonderful walking path a short distance from the property. The spa facilities and staff were also top notch. We had a relaxing and nourishing experience, with plenty of spaces to enjoy time as a couple, even with other couples around.

Nothing of note. Even in the rain the walks and the spa felt great!
