Casa Cueva “El Refugio en la Cueva”

We loved our stay in this apartment, everything is like in the pictures, location is great and the host was very friendly and helpful. It is a bit humid in the apartment, but is worth for the experience of having accommodation in an apartment like this.

Very central location in a unique little town. The property was immaculate and built in to a cave. It contained everything you need.

Access was difficult and not possible by car. There was a good park for 9.6 euros nearby and details could be included with other property information.

We were very excited to be staying in this lovely looking ‘cave house’ and were communicating with the operator in the day before our arrival about our plans. Sadly when we arrived we were informed there was a problem with the house (a major leak in one of the two bedrooms) and offered another pretty (not a ‘cave house’) but much, much smaller studio unit instead. In hindsight we should have asked for a refund and found our own accomodation. But we were standing in the street with our suitcases and didn’t feel like we had much choice. It still annoys me that they didn’t tell us about the leak earlier (it appeared to be a problem for a while).

Our family booked this particular house because it was renovated and had 2 bedrooms. At midnight the water started leaking from the ceiling to the part where my wife was sleeping. We needed to move to our daughters room and sleep this night all together. NO SOLUTION FROM THE OWNER, NO COMPENSATION. Pls keep in mind that this cave's roof will be leaking in the future as there is no solution for this particular building-type. First such an awful experience and 0 out of 10 as no solution was offered!
