Self catering log cabin 5 mins from Kilkenny City Eircode R95 HH9W

Small but comfortable house, the host was kind and always answering our questions. The house is good equipped and the host had been leave some stuff in the fridge for us, like milk, eggs, water , cookies, which it was very useful when you arrive late in night with a baby and almost nothing open to buy groceries.

If you go by car or rent a car the location is amazing!!! but without car, the transportation to Kilkenny is difficult because the taxi is approx €16-20 just until city centre, and walking is quite dangerous , without sidewalk at least 30 minutes . The house has parking if you go with car .

Very cozy little cabin close to amenities, restaurants and shopping. Cozy bed and functional kitchen, we enjoyed our stay!

The shower was good, but no plug in the basin. Towels good, plenty of drawers and hanging space. Kitchen was well equipped, plenty of hot water. The supply of fresh milk and biscuits was very welcome. The bed was a bit creaky but comfortable. It all suited us for what we wanted it for.

The main door to the cabin had to be lifted up to open and for the lock bolt to go into the hole in the frame. The tea and coffee supply was great, but no sugar. No plug in the hand basin. The access steps down into the garden could have done with another one or two because of the height

The cabin was perfect for our needs. It was self-sufficient and stocked with some basics, coffee, tea, water bottles. Parking was easy, it was close to Kilkenny and the host recommended some places to go. It was absolutely perfect and I would stay there again if I returned to Ireland.

We enjoyed this unique little cabin. It was nice and quiet and the bed is very comfortable.

Some of the kitchenware hadn't been cleaned very well by a previous guest and the pans need replacing (Teflon flaking off)

The location was ok. Ok for price.

First of all smell of dampness straight away covered by air fresner. When we arrived it was cold in the cabin. Heater was available to heat the room but but would not reach the bathroom. Dining extremely flimsy and only two chairs. Bed collapsed on our first night , couldn't stay second night. Apparently bed was not put together properly. Ruined our weekend, had to go home next day. It was a bit of a struggle to get a full refund. Would never stay again.
