Quaint location and building
Parking was an issue it was only road parking which was not outside the house so it was difficult unloading luggage. The house had a strong smell of old cigarette the smell was a bit off putting. The shower was tiny.

"Three days in Doune."

The location. The fact the bedrooms were spread out on the property. Property full of character. An easy walk to the excellent Co-op for groceries. All local shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful. We arrived very early and jetlagged and really appreciated entry.
The living furniture is not comfortable and could do with an update, but we spent each evening at the kitchen table and that was fine for us. The huge bath in one of the bathrooms is impractically long with only a hand-held shower, which could easily spray around the room. But these things are just for information and did not bother us.
