The food in the pub was great, we loved the location, there was also so much to do especially with the castle being so close.

The welcome was lovely on arrival. The pub is in a very central location, lots of bars and places to eat, to suit every pocket. The room was spacious and we had a lovely sea view, definately a place to stay for a short break

Stair carpet needs replacing, and WiFi a bit slow

We were shocked by our stay here. We paid £240 for 2 nights, in a very small, stuff, dirty room at the top of the building. Despite being in a pub it was not noisy. We couldn't believe the rate didn't include breakfast and the pub stop serving dinner by the time we arrived at 1830. The "double" bed is small, without room to walk around it standing normally and uncomfortable. We were left standing at the bar for ages waiting to check in. The staff did not look happy to be there and we were left feeling like an inconvenience.

Needs a deep clean, a new mattress, reclassification as a large single and communication regarding the limited catering.

The hotel was great, staff we great, food was OK, location was good about 5 minutes walk to the castle and the view was outstanding over the harbour
