The fact that there’s cameras in every room and no privacy.

The location was excellent--very convenient to the university.

There was a lot of noise from the street outside and the guests upstairs. Since I was on the street level, with lots of pedestrian traffic, I never felt comfortable enough to open the shades. The bed was uncomfortable and the amenities sparse. When I saw how little toilet paper there was, I asked the hosts if I could have more, and they said they'd leave some for me, but they never did. The three days that followed were interesting.

Location, if you are visiting someone poorly at the QE, and you need a gaff to wander in and out of to get a quick shower, or have a kip - its ideal, between 5-10 minutes walk, thats all. On street parking was available, though I did not use it.

The traffic noise was pretty bad. You are next to a hospital so you get sirens all night too, duh... entirely predictable. What was annoying was the property's own burglar alarm beeping all day and all night, downright stupid. The TV had no ethernet cable, no satellite cable - so if you don't know the wifi code you cannot get anything on it. Wifi code I eventually found on a really helpful card placed on a high shelf which I didn't find till the last day. No replies from owners on any of these points, so I gave up. Great big stain on carpet, grotty really. However if all you're worried about is your old mum in hospital none of these things really matter. Great location. Shower worked fine, apart from gap in doors soaking the bathroom floor.
