Alfama Tailor Made Blue House With a View #1

I liked sooo much the view from the window! The heart of Alfama! But this it's not noisy, also the neighbours are kind and calm. I would like to come back :)

I have problems with opening the main door, so it's better if the staff will show you how to unlock it :)

The location was great, the bed was comfortable and the apartment was spacious with good amenities. The host was very responsive to any questions we had.

The furniture was really old, could use an update. The wifi sometimes cut out momentarily.

It was a great location and really responsive hosts.

There was an extremely bad smell coming from the bathroom. If I was aware of this sewage smell prior I would have not stayed here.

The owners met me with the keys, helped me carry my things up the stairs. The house itself is in a great location on the Tram 28 line. Beautiful views of the Alfama from the small balconey doors. They stocked it with coffee and a nice machine which I loved. Bed was comfortable.

The rising smell of the sewer from the shower drain was very unpleasant.

The host is very responsive and kitchen is well equipped.

The location of the property was excellent with cafes, restaurants, transportation and grocery store very close by. The apartment was quite roomy and a had very comfortable bed. The host responded to us quickly when we had difficulty with the entrance door, and the greeting person thankfully waited for us to arrived, even when we got there well after midnight, much later than our planned time because of a tram accident blocking the road. The apartment needs a complete update as the furniture and fittings are showing lots of wear. The entrance door also needs work, possibly a new lock installed, as we were locked out of the building the first time we went out. Thankfully a neighbour let us in. From then on, we were afraid to leave again - only left the apartment one person at a a time- before we learned the “trick” to opening the door, which would have been helpfully to know on the first day.

Very charming apartment in a beautiful old building in the oldest part of Lisboa, Alfama Barrio, near Miradouro das Portas do Sol, with great views, walking distance from main attractions: Sé de Lisboa, Castelo de S. Jorge (best view of the city from its towers), Praça do Comércio. A lot of small shops near by. Famous yellow tram no 28 stops on the same street and you can hop on literally on your doorstep. Just put your best walking shoes on and be prepared for a lot of uphill hiking through Lisboa. Extremely pleasent and patient hosts. Helped emidiately with everything we needed, answered all the questions we had, any time of the day. Tomás was very kind and helpful! They really made a very pleasant stay in this beautiful city.

We were on a second floor of an old building which means no elevator and the stairs are pretty tight so for some people it might not be really accessible. Bedroom has no windows which is not surprising considering it's a charming old building but it is good to be informed upfront.
