We usually don’t put negative reviews, but this one was really terrible for us… where to start… -the room was not ready, when we arrived so we called the owner (someone in the US) who treated us like garbage, very inhuman and said „you are in Guatemala, that’s how things work here“ (Never ever happens to us before here in Guatemala) - the staff was also very very unfriendly and they cleaned the room for literally 2 minutes and that was, how it looked like, dirt everywhere, garbage bin was full, a bandage laying on the floor, wet floor where you could not put down anything -they were not even bothered to make loud noises to fix something with the WiFi, after 3 hours we were telling them that this is not okay, they continued and were not interested in us, just laughing at us -BED BUGS which will take over your luggage too -mold everywhere - neighbours burnt their trash every night and the smoke is very smelly in your room, no chance of sleep - we had to help 3 others to find their room - far away from everything, hard to find - … I want to say we are a usual backpacking couple who sometimes has shared bathrooms or stay more basic, this one was a horror…hope you find something else…

i could say so much but the biggest issue was that I got bed bug bites… I couldn’t wait to leave the next morning

- more possibility for storage (shelfs) would be great

This place is simply perfect! Location is excellent, only 5 minutes from the center (up 10 :). It's in a quiet neighborhood, so very tranquil and peaceful. The room itself is cosy, stylish and comfortable, I had the pleasure to stay in room #1 and room #2. Both have a wonderful view of the lake. The host is super nice, helpful and flexible. He did his best to help me with everything. The place has a special atmosphere that makes you feel serene and at home. I absolutely loved my stay here and can only recommend it if you are in San Marcos. I hope to be able to come back one day. Muchas gracias ❤️

We loved this place and had a nice and relaxing stay. It has a great view of Lake Atitlan and the room is aesthetically pleasing. The property is situated in a very lush part of the town and it is only a short walk to the main part of the town. Yes, there’s a steep hill to the accomodation, though it is expected when you want to stay in a nice and lush part of the town and have a great view of the lake. The host was very responsive, helpful and attentive to our needs. We greatly appreciate the host’s support during our stay and we would highly recommend it!

The drain of the bathroom wasn’t working properly and we were not able to access the shared kitchen because it was under renovation.

Great value for money. Place was very clean. Comfortable private room with all I needed. Shower with great water pressure and temperature. THE VIEW.

Check-in experience (particularly the code delivery) could have been better. Someone was there to help so it went well in the end.
