Fryers Cottage, Seamer, 3 Bed cottage sleeps 5 people

Very clean and well presented with a cozy feel and a lot more than was expected. It's a lovely, good sized cottage, fitted with everything you would need for a family stay and located in a nice quiet village location next to the best chippy I've been to in a long time, theres also a very well stocked and not expensive mini market with a cashpoint a very short walk away. Would definitely return and stay again. Very highly recommended.

We couldn't really fault anything

The information on booking dies not say it is next to a chip shop or that it hat it is street parking. The shower leaked through the ceiling no shower possible no response from owner no emergency contact displayed in property.

Great location on a lovely street. 30 minute drive to flamingo land, less than 10 mins away from Cayton Bay and 15 to Scarborough. The cottage is next door to an excellent chip shop and the Mayfield Hotel is a really family friendly pub with a play area, beer garden and pleasant food. There is a Proudfoot supermarket across the road from the property and a park too! my young daughters enjoyed that.

Has a dishwasher but no tablets, a bin but no bin liners. Easily bought from across the road I suppose but inconvenient. Also the shower needs unclogging as it overflows quickly.

The cottage looked nice in the photos

The cottage was not clean and had a pungent smell in most rooms, there were ants on the kitchen floor and work surface, also wood lice came out of the sofa and a dead one on the carpet. The carpets were not clean. When we put the heating on the smell evaporated into the air and was unbearable. The look of the cottage is fine and would be a fine cost effective place. But it will need a few deep cleans and a solution to get rid of the dog smell around the cottage.

It's a lovely cottage, cosy and clean. Our dogs loved every minute there. Highly recommended.
