LoveNest Genova - Acquarium 50m

It was very comfortable. The mattress was so soft. It was also very clean. Location near everything. Fast responses from the owner.

It was hard to find. A sign by the door would have helped a lot. Once I found the right door then inside everything was great. I didn't realize my room was so big with a bed and a couch. I could have asked a friend along.

Location

It's not a hotel, it's a room within an appartment. Also, you have to share the bathroom with the other guests which wasn't listed on the site. The host might seem nice but he first he pushed me to be very exact at what time I would like to arrive. Then I arrived at the pre-agreed time and he was late. The host seems like a very nice guy, but it's nothing but a slick business appearance. You ask him for advice, but he'll give you the standard story and answers he has rehearsed before.

The property is located close to the bay just across from the aquarium! It’s situated amongst delis and fruit shops that have nice cheap eats and great atmosphere

The property shares a living space with three other rooms if you don’t make contact with those people it is hard to know if anyone else is in the apartment with you! A sign on the door saying the room is booked for the time would be nice as when you come out of the toilet and a person has appeared at the door it can be surprising

The accommodation is in the middle of the historic centre and is only accessible by foot through cobbled streets. Many shops, bars, and restaurants within a few minutes in every direction. Close to the port and museums. Stefania, who greeted me, was helpful, showing me the apartment, the 2 adjoining rooms I had (bedroom and TV lounge) and also giving me a couple of restaurant recommendations. There was also a common dining area and kitchen area, which I didn't make use of. The bathroom was shared but OK. There were no conflicts with any of the other residents: 2 I think.

I thought the name "LoveNest" was strange; it was just a normal apartment. It was not easy to find, being in the middle of the historic centre “labyrinth”. I would not have found it without Google Maps to guide me. There is only a very small label on the doorbell. There was no one around to receive me, as I had not seen the message from the owner to inform them an hour before arrival. A telephone call solved the problem quickly. Lots of stairs to climb. Heavy, bulky luggage not recommended (also because of the very rough cobbled narrow streets) The key to my room looked very simple. Out of curiosity, I tried it on the next guest room; it unlocked the door. Poor security here. Needless to say, I relocked it without going in.

Don’t even dream about check in earlier than 2:00. I had an accident so I couldn’t even walk, I explained the situation asking for an earlier check in and the owner said no chance before 2:00 so we agreed at 2:00. He was late so I did the check in at 2:30, I had to be standing outside for half a hour using the clutches. The only view that I had was a building opposite to us. You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo if you would like to have a shower. The cleaner opened my room’s door twice when I was laying in bed, even without knowing on the door. The owner offered us a taxi and the taxi driver charged us €20, which was more than getting a normal taxi instead.

The WiFi it's good.

Too much noise from the street, the bathroom it's shared with another 2 rooms in same apartment. You don't have acces by the car.
