3 Bed Static Caravan @ Hoburne Devon Bay

Location on site near the club house

The first impression walking to the van was very disappointing. The sitting area outside was dirty the outside table had a warped piece of mdf instead of it being glass. Swarming with aunts, outside seating was uncomfortable very painful across ones back as there were no cushions. The fall pipes were green. Inside there were chips under the stools which slotted into a low table. There were open packets of sugar in the kitchen cupboard along with other food. The oven was extremely dirty. The vent on the ceiling in the kitchen was dirty some of the thick dust landed in a cup of coffee. The double bedroom stank of urine. Very strong on the carpet between the bed and window. Although there was a notice on the shower door slippy we had to use one of our towels on the shower floor to prevent falls. When all the above was discussed with booking . com who contacted the owners their reply was vacate immediately and we would get full refund. Half term week in Devon and a looming air show weekend there were no vacancies anywhere. We had been travelling for 7 hours.

Good array of kitchen items, good central heating

The caravan was quite dirty, cobwebs everywhere Also we had to clean the table and chairs, also the decking as it was filthy, covered in bird poop, And weeds

Very spacious, great that it had WiFi, clean and tidy, comfortable, very easy access to facilities, great communication with owner, would defo go back in the future

Bed was slightly uncomfortable apart from that nothing we didnt like

Everything Damp cold smelly stale . Paid £600 for this horrendous stay , went home Iill exhausted and completely distressed by this week in this caravan . It’s a scruffy worn out caravan . Electric fire made my eyes stream so couldn’t keep living area warm for my 86 yr old mother it’s not fit for anyone to stay in . Damp and cold bedrooms carpet smells too . It’s unfit to be rented out . The sockets get hot so also a fire hazard . Too dangerous. Wonky toilet seats , dirty windows , not worth £600 please can you look into a full refund and compensation for the distress it’s caused , came home I’ll from this stay . When we first arrived it smelt of urine when we walked in, turns out it was from the bathroom, the caravan was filthy looks like it hasn’t had a deep clean for a long time way over 2 years because funny enough I stayed in the exact same caravan 2 years ago and it was just as bad then which I also complained about but clearly nothing was done about it! The sofas are grim, they need a good clean, it was damp, dirty, dusty, mouldy & musty throughout the whole caravan! We were having to wear damp clothes because of the damp in the caravan! There was mould on the majority of the walls especially by the headboards of the beds, on the curtains, windows, sink, shower & ceiling, I got out the travel cot from under the bed ready for my little boy to sleep in & I was shocked to see how filthy, rusty, smelly & mouldy it was! I had to ask for another travel cot to which I had to pay £14 to use, that stunk of weed! We tried to stay out of the caravan as much as possible due to how disgusting it was, after just 2 days of being there my 15 month old baby began to be very poorly with a temperature of 39.

Great location, really clean caravan with good basic facilities. The beds in the twin rooms are narrow albeit long, and the cupboard hanging over be of the beds feels a little restrictive. Despite that, a great place to stay for a budget break.

See above. The shower head was dripping so had to be paid on the floor of the shower.

Most of it, the description of the unit it stated that it had a sauna and Jacuzzi, it did not. The site is incredibly hilly and not at all wheelchair friendly. The unit itself is very small with cramped bedrooms, not good for a group of seniors. One of the wardrobes was packed with a vacuum and an ironing board, the clothes hangers were for children's clothes. In the "double bedroom" the ensuite was so small the you had to leave the door open to get washed. We will not be staying again.
