The Lazy Goose - Coffee House & Bedrooms

This is an ideal stop over when visiting family as it is not too far from the motorway and yet is a quiet location. We were surprised by the 'different than normal' breakfast on offer and although it suited us, others might prefer a more healthy option.

Access to the rooms out of hours was by key code on the door, and we found it difficult to open the first time only because we were turning the knob in the wrong direction. This could have been made a little clearer perhaps.

The room was beautiful and the bed was huge. The coffee in the morning was probably the best mocha I have ever had and I'm a bit of a coffee snob. Great choice for us

Spacious room in a lovely building. Very clean with a wide range of facilities. Free parking and a very sweet cat that showed us to our room. Access was also really straightforward and the breakfast toasties were delicious

To have cereals would be nice No hot water in sink after 8.30 am or evening Flow of water down sink extremely slow, suggesting partial blockage

My room was very cosy and spacious with a comfy bed. Loved the powerful shower! A great range of facilities are provided. The Lazy Goose is situated in beautiful surroundings, with amenities nearby such as a co-op and a pub serving food in the evenings. The coffee house itself is a must visit. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the coffee and pastries were exceptional! There is an extensive garden area that looked like a lovely place to relax in the warmer months. Overall a brilliant stay and would definitely recommend.

The bathroom door opens inwards, making the bathroom space a bit tight in places. I didn't find this to be a problem for me but it might cause issues for someone with restricted mobility.

Would love drinking water in the room that would be the only thing everything else was 10/10 and the breakfast was lovely such a lovely little coffee shop
