"Peaceful and secure. Warm and clean."

Great location for easy access to city centre. Public transport regular services. Helpful staff on site atm we stayed but they we're painting and improving the the rooms and communal areas. New carpets had arrived the day before checking out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for safe, reasonably priced central accommodation in Newport. Minutes from good pub, newsagents and petrol station if own transport.

The shower could have been a bit bigger but didn't spoil the stay anyway.

"Very basic, pretty grim all things considered"

A spacious room, TV that worked, and clean bedding. Four towels were provided, and they were clean. Help was available via phone, eg. to provide a plug for the bathroom sink. PIN codes to access rooms. Tea and coffee, two mugs, two cups and a functioning kettle.

No breakfast provided at the venue. All looked a bit tired, bordering on neglected, especially the bathroom, which was pretty grotty. Noisy late at night.
