The host was so kind and the location was absolutely incredible. It’s so close to everything and the view was amazing.

The water in the shower was a little tricky. It seemed to be either ice cold or boiling lava. But that was probably user error.

Location was fantastic; as a jumping off point to explore Old Town Edinburgh, it would be hard to beat, and I thought it was a good value. I would absolutely stay here again. Any number of pubs, restaurants and things to see/do within minutes. The space was clean and had all the amenities a traveler would need, plus the host left a bottle of wine and a box of local biscuits, which was thoughtful. Excellent, clear directions on how to find the space and retrieve the keys, plus dropping bags off a little early was easy.

There's nothing I didn't like. It is an apartment in an old building, so you have to keep that in mind; that's not a criticism, it's what the space is. If big bathrooms and elevators are your thing, this is not that, but it's part of the charm of the space. I felt more or less like I was living like a local during my stay, which was a pretty great way to spend time in Old Town. Wouldn't change a thing.

Brilliant location for most attractions in Edinburgh. So

The apartment was convenient to everything we wanted to see. The view from the living room was fantastic.

Building was older, and stairs felt grungy. The apartment wasn't very roomy and it was up two flights of stairs. The apartment was on a road prohibited to cars, so taxi had to drop us off around the corner and we had to walk up stairs to get to apartment. I was provided with the wrong entry code, and had to wait for the owner to contact me and he provided a different code. Water pressure in shower was too low and hot water for kitchen sink and bathroom sink was on a switch, but it didn't seem to work.

Location, location, location! This apartment would score highly on that aspect alone. But the owners went above and beyond to make our stay even more perfect. Paul asked about our intended sightseeing and recommended a few things we hadn't even thought about. We would definitely stay here again!! Bonus: a ledge-seat in the window is great for reading and people watching. The bedroom faces to the back, so noise from the street below was NOT an issue at all.

Just the right size in a fabulous location. Within walking distance of practically everything you’d want to see in Edinburgh. Clean, very comfy could not fault it.
