Location was epic! View of the church, literally next to the castle. Walk out the door to everything - shops, food, sites! All was quiet with windows closed we could not hear the street sounds.

Be sure to plan for parking offsite, down the hill.. there is no parking on the street by the flat. We had a garage however it was tricky to find the tiny alley into the garage, however it was great once we did (secure closed building). Tiny car is a must in the entire area. It’s a little hoof up the gradual hill…. But worth every bit for the flat

The location was perfect for our needs, right in the heart of the places we wanted to visit and see. The flat was warm, cosy and comfortable with a nice welcoming gift on arrival. It was quite inside, even with it being the time of the year that we were there. Paul was quick in replying to any queries that we had. It was well equipped with all the essentials for making it home from home.

The only 3 negatives that we had was it was a small flat for the price, but we do get that the price was reflected in the time of year that we stayed. The noise from other people going in and out of the building travelled up the stairs, which isn't Paul's fault. The oven was a combi microwave/oven, with instructions, but not being tech savvy, we struggled with.

Paul, the owner. was very helpful. The property was in an excellent position at the top of the Royal Mile. I chose it specifically as I wanted to go to the Witchery for lunch. The property was well equipped, clean and very comfortable with a lovely welcome package of wine, shortbread, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. It is close to the Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle, but also in easy walking distance to Princes Street.

There wasn't anything not to like really central
