"Ticked every box for a great family weekend"

The property was perfect for a long weekend in December with the family. Plenty of room, authentic Georgian features, stepping straight out into a Christmas buzz! Location fabulous.

"We had a wonderful stay here, a great base to come back to while visiting York. We had a girls break visiting the Christ"

The location was great easy access to station and central to the town. We used the restaurants on castlegate which was nice and close. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well presented and high spec. The lounge was relaxing and a good area to gather and socialise. We really enjoyed our stay here.

"A great stay in a very comfortable house in the lovely city of York."

Had a great stay with all the extended family. Lisa & Jerry at Wheelwright were brilliant when we had a problem with one of the showers. Sorted it out very quickly. Beds were so comfortable, lovely bathrooms & the whole house was so clean. Felt like home for the 5 days we stayed. Fantastic location! Would definitely recommend a stay at 16 Castlegate.

A very minor detail only 8 mugs could of done with double that. With 6 adults in and out drinking tea & coffees all day.

The apartment is so well appointed. There are plenty of spaces for people to sit and relax and get out of each other’s way. The furnishings are plush and clean and it’s beautifully decorated. The location was fantastic right in the middle of everything.

Unfortunately, the allocated car park was being used by somebody else for the entire time of our day so we had to pay for parking elsewhere. There are car parks nearby although they are expensive.

Location is excellent and you are right in the centre.

Kitchen feels cold and dark as in the basement. Didn't detract from our stay as we were mostly out to eat

Location , size and fit out of bedrooms and bathrooms. Rental team responded rapidly to issue that arose.

Inadequate lighting in places, not as clean as it could be, hard to use kitchen
