Varuna Palace Varanasi , Near Mandir & Ghat's

Prem ji was very helpful and guided very properly during my stay. He ensured that everything was in place and was always available on call if anything was required. The room was also good with complete cleanliness.

It was a little difficult to get local transportation from the area to the ghats, but it was festival time so that is understandable. On normal days, it should be fine.

Very clean and comfortable. Close to everything but also away from hustle and bustle. Prem is an excellent host and his wife made a lovely breakfast

The most beautiful building in not very attractive surroundings. The owner is a very nice person, also working as a tour guide. I felt like at home.

Mr Prem (the owner) is a tour guide of many years experience, taught French (his daughter is a cosmologist) and an absolute gem of a human being. Trust in Prem, he will guide you around the city, he is an expert and clearly known to, and respected by, everyone. Book activities through him, works out a lot cheaper than booking in advance. The property is basic and clean, I'd bring some soap and some strong mosquito repellent. While the property is a little difficult to find, the pleasure in staying here is the welcome you get. It is like staying with an old friend. Can't recommend enough. But make sure to get a local sim, everyone in India uses Line. Google maps will help the tuktuks bring you back. Again, highest recommendation.

We had a great experience for the three nights we stayed here. The room was good for the price and had a balcony which we made use of in the evenings. The owner Prem and his wife are such great hosts and were so helpful in planning our days out in Varanasi which made things so much easier. We also asked all sorts of questions about the area and had informative answers. This Homestay is most definitely worth a visit!!!

Didn't manage to have hot water but it wasn't a big issue for us as cold showers were refreshing with the heat outside!
