Perfect Marina Stay@ Strait Quay 5 pax w/ Free Carpark

Great location with shops, bars and restaurants downstairs as well as a well stocked supermarket.

A little bit tired in places.

The place is quite though restaurants and shops. That said, easy for food hunting. Place is comfortable and spacious enough.

The location

The property is dated, the shower in the en-suite did not have hot water, the TV was 27inch, way too small for the distance between the couch and itself. Did not even provide proper floor towels for outside the shower and the shower can be cleaner. Disappointing, will not recommend.

All facilities are in great condition, washing machine and dryer is very handy

The car park and the house is a bit far, a bit tricky to get to the car park and the room

Clean rooms with basic amenities

The owner of the property was available on whatsapp chat quickly for all question but was answering my question very rudly when we get into a conversation due to view of the room.

The pictures of the appartment was not perfect the owner posted some outside pictures of the sea but in actual the property dose not even have the view / sea view in property pictures it show it has sea view upon asking the owner about wwhy he posted the wrong pictures of the view then owner told me that its my business and my unit. Actually owner is misleading the guests by pretending the property has sea view but when you ebter the property it has no view even not the city view the property view is blocked due to a building infornt of it. Later he agreed to give the sea view room which he showed in the picture but asking for more 100 MYR It was old building and appartment the mainted it well but the matress was not comfy you can feel springs on you body and the furniture was old the bath room shower was broken. When i demanded for sea view which is shown in pictures then he said you booked a cheap room and now asking for sea view. As i had already paid for booking so i had no other choice .

Location is beautiful. Host and communication with him was excellent and efficient. Size of the apartment was good. Pool and gym are on the 3a floor. Gym is nothing special but the pool is beautiful. You have a lot of restaurants near by, shopping mall and big grocery store that is open until 10pm.

Windows of your apartment are looking at the parking lot building and not on the sea like you can see in the pictures. Those pictures are not showing you your living room, as I thought, they are showing you a lobby of the building that you are staying. Your living room has a one more king or queen size bed. In general you don't have a living room. Towels are very old and bleached. Also you get 4 big towels wihtout small towels for face or legs when you get out of the shower. Bathroom was not so clean. For main bathroom we had to buy a spray ti kill cockroaches. Bathtub and shower door were very dirty. There is no hot water so if you want to enjoy a hot tub forget it. You don't get slippers, I had to buy one because we were packed very light and I couldn't bring mine, and honestly I was expecting to have some slippers. On the oven there was a sign DON'T USE. What if I wanted to cook something? In the closet you get 2 hangers. So, beautiful location, big size apartment with big balcony that is looking at the parking lot building (you don't know how is the weather until you go out on the balcony)...and lack of small things that are very cheap and can improve your stay a lot. Honestly I will not book here again.

Straits Quay has many available short-term rentals and it's a convenient location with great amenities. Had a great stay in another unit.

The apartment itself was okay, but the host, known as Cody, had an unwelcoming attitude. Check-in was difficult—he sent complicated instructions that didn’t clearly explain the unit’s location. When I got lost and asked for clarification, the host responded with sarcasm and impatience. The Wi-Fi didn’t work until I rebooted the router. The hot water also didn’t work initially; when I asked, I was told to wait 15 minutes for the tank to heat up—again delivered with a condescending tone. All would have been okay if he met guests on arrival or communicated better. I checked out and booked elsewhere to avoid further rudeness. Overall, I did not feel welcomed or respected as a guest. I see from other reviews that he responds to negative comments with hostility instead of apologies. ⸻

Badly maintained. Lots of light bulbs needed changing . Badly damaged balcony chairs which initially the host was refusing to change.
