Holly's Hostel Ha Giang B&B

Holly was genuinely very helpful, and caring individual. She not calcutive, and help me and my sister during our first time visit Ha Giang. She helped arranged our Ha Giang Epic Loop Bike Tour with two responsible gentlemen; Mr Huang and Mr Thien. Accommodating as she allowed us to leave our bags at her place as we went on our two nights, three days bike tour. And she’s very trusting as well when it came to payment. We had to change VND for the room payment, and she gave us time to change and only paid her for accommodations and tour fees much later.

The location isn’t as strategic, requires walking further for food and essential but not an issue, we survived. With her warm and genuine hospitality, it made it up.

Holly is a lovey person and a great host, she helped us with organising whatever we needed during our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very nice.

Very clean, the beds are comfortable and the air con works well. The free breakfast includes either instant noodle soup or a freshly cooked omelette in a bread roll (bahn mi style), with coffee or tea. We stored our bags there for several days whilst we did the loop.

Holly is fantastic, she allowed us to use her fridge for holding probiotic drinks as my partner had food poisoning. The rooms are incredibly clean and cool from the aircon, the property is not situated right in town but a little walk away, which means it’s quiet, there’s a winmart 2 minutes walk away, as well as other supermarkets. Holly organised our bikes for our solo trip around the Ha Giang loop, we rented two bikes and they were relatively new and in brilliant condition. We left our bags with her and everything had just been amazing.

Holly is a very nice person, kind and helpful. She helped me with my luggage which was quite heavy and she was there very early on the day of my check out in case I needed anything. She even called the office lady where I booked my bus ticket to Hanoi to try to solve some misunderstandings with the bus driver and my pick up point. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean and the homestay is in a very quiet road so you can make sure you will get a good night's sleep.

Location : At a quiet neighbourhood , 10 min uphill climb from the city centre. Room: Room was clean, spacious with all amenities available from hot shower, hair dryer, towels to toiletries. Bed was big and comfortable with electric blankets. Room even had a dressing table , table fan and clothing rack. Only con is the bathroom door creaking in every room every time you enter or exit. Minor repair work will solve the issue. Staff : Hospitable and helpful staff. Other information : Hostel has an in-house kitchen and the chef is skilled. Very convenient if you want to spend a day indoors. Breakfast is all eggs menu but you can request vegetarian options. Veg spring rolls are to die for. The common area has a pool table. No complaints .
