Lovely and welcoming host with good advise, quiet location, lovely room and breakfast was beautiful!

Located in a quiet neighborhood area which is also a short walk to the main street. Host was helpful and friendly. She was kind to arrange taxi both ways for us to go up to cafe on mountain top .

This stay has been perfect. The hostel is in a quiet area, and it is really good value for money. But the best thing is Holly, who is so sweet and happy and helpful. I felt very welcome.

Initially we wondered if we may have booked a bit far out from the city centre but Holly’s was only 250m down a quiet residential street off the main road. It was SO quiet and peaceful after some of the homestays we have stayed at. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. Holly provided a simple breakfast of “egg and bread or egg and noodle”. We opted for egg and bread and both mornings, it was the most fresh delicious crunchy Banh Mi we have had. Our second morning we had to leave early and Holly kindly provided our breakfast early, rushing off to the market to buy the fresh bread. She is a friendly lady who makes every effort to make your stay a good one.

No complaints. We would stay here again. It is great value for the money you pay.

The included breakfast was actually quite good. Holly was helpful in arranging my pickup by the bus service taking me back to Hanoi, which saved me the taxi fare.

I arrived at 4pm and Holly wasn’t there - I had to wait about 15 minutes for her to show up to check me in. The room was advertised as having a balcony but it did not - there was a communal balcony at the end of the hall and I guess that’s what she was referring to? The wifi didn’t work and when I mentioned this to Holly, she argued with me that it actually was working (turns out she was using cell service to get a signal) and then when it became obvious to her that the wifi was indeed out, she blamed the wifi technician who had “just been out setting it up.” Similarly, the remote to the AC unit wasn’t working and she argued with me for several minutes saying it was, and again after realizing it in fact was not working, she told me the previous occupants must have broken it. I hate leaving a negative review. I realize this isn’t a luxury hotel - obviously problems can arise anywhere, regardless of cost, and ordinarily things like these would just roll off my back. But the arguments and long stories were really off-putting and beg for a poor rating.

It was on a quiet street off the main road through town. A bit of a walk to downtown, but I didn’t mind. The room was very clean. The host was warm and welcoming, she made me feel at home. I’m so glad I chose this hostel, I would definitely stay here again!
