DESchönes, helles Zimmer mit eigener Terrasse und warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Wirtin, die sehr gutes Frühstück macht. Sie hat uns auch Tiko vermittelt, ein super Guide und Fahrer, der auch gut Englisch spricht. Ruhige Lage (wir haben es genossen nicht mitten im Trubel zu sein), aber nur 20min zu Fuss bis zum Zentrum.

USWe loved the open air feeling of our room, surrounded by glass with views of Gy and Stephan's trees, flowering bushes and coffee plants. The extra treat is the outside patio that was just for us. The room is "no frills" but clean and comfortable. Location is great. It's in a nice little neighborhood away from the madness of the center of the city but walking distance to it. Gy arranged our driver, Tiko, to take us to the Mount Sibayak trailhead and hot springs. The next day, he took us to Taman Alam Lumbini. And then the next day, he drove us to Bukit Lawang. He's awesome! We highly recommend him. All in all, a great value.
Maybe provide bar soap in the bathroom to wash hands and shower. Would've loved an electric kettle to make coffee and sit on our balcony.
AUStaff was very good. the room was clean and nice
There was no running water. This was probably a one off and did get resolved after one day but it was an inconvenience for us not being able to shower or flush the toilet without a bucket of water
DEWir waren sehr happy mit der Unterkunft! Sie ist etwas abseits gelegen, daher schön ruhig und nicht so hektisch wie unten in der Stadt. Zu Fuß ist man aber in guten 15 Minuten gelaufen. Das Zimmer hatte einen tollen Ausblick und eine großzügige Terrasse. Wir hatten warmes Wasser zum duschen und sehr schnelles und zuverlässiges Internet. Auf Wunsch wurde uns ein Frühstück gezaubert, was wir ebenfalls sehr geschätzt haben. Wichtig zu wissen: die Zimmer liegen im 2. Stock und sind über eine recht steile Wendeltreppe zu erreichen.

For us it was OK, but there are steep narrow stairs.
USSwindo Homestay is a beautiful home located close to all the great activities of berastagi. The host was so kind and welcoming. It was a great start to visiting Sumatra.
GBWe really loved staying here. It’s a quirky homestay with lots of character and the hosts were particularly friendly and helpful.
The steep spiral stairs were a bit challenging, but would not deter us from staying again.
