For a Midwinter break with ice on the ground in the picturesque Port Sunlight Village, James’s cottage was the perfect warm cosy nest to retreat to… a deep bath to relax in, a great kitchen to heat up a meal and a lovely lounge to relax in. It really was a treat. Just a short walk down the road from the station James’s home provides all the amenities you would wish for. His information message told us everything we needed to know about the heating, WiFi and checking in which was all really straightforward. Truly a lovely stay. Thank you James.

Absolutely nothing!! However I wasn’t familiar with the symbols on the oven dials but managed to work it out, maybe a note explaining the settings would be great but really not an issue. All good thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We live about 20 seconds away and just needed somewhere for SiL to crash after my daughters 21st birthday party. House was perfect for us. Comfortable and convenient location. We live near the main station so anyone traveling by public transport would find it easy to get to. Forgot our ice-cream in the fridge and every time we go past I say - "Do you think he's eaten it?" :-) Would def book again.

Nothing :) We had a slight mix-up prior to entering the property but this was no fault of James, who sorted it all out promptly and this was much appreciated.

Fast communication with the host. Smooth check in and check out. Fully-equipped house. Excellent location. If you want to stay in Port Sunlight don't look at any other places to stay. Book this place.

Beautifully presented inside and out. Quirky interiors which were both stylish and functional. Everything you needed was there. The host is extremely generous and easy to communicate with when we needed anything. It’s very close to my elderly parents home where staying is no longer an option so this is perfect. Book it you won’t be disappointed.

Property was lovely and clean

The residence was extremely pleasant to stay in with good heating and well stocked kitchen. The bathroom had great water pressure and it was large. The railway station is one minute walk with trains direct to Liverpool city center. The TV was huge and had free movie options. Overall a great place to stay. All was good. The area is historic in nature with great walking areas throughout Port Sunlight. The art gallery is especially impressive and the local pubs and restaurants are excellent.
