Host & Stay - The Georgian Townhouse

The keys were actually easy to get and drop off. They were a little far from the property but not the end of the world. Lots of space for 6 adults! Would recommend

The deposit took the maximum time to be refunded which is slightly annoying!

Location was lovely and the size of the property was good.

Very tired interior; greeted with a ripped stair carpet, freezing cold when we arrived (9 degrees); uncomfortable stained sofa, lamp not working in living room; downstairs toilet and washing machine out of order; uncomfortable seating in dining area; picture with glass hanging out of the frame; only four mis-matched wine glasses in a house for 8. Rip-off at £897 for two nights! Reported with photos to the management company to receive a lacklustre response as our complaints fell outside their ‘five-day window’ - not true as I mentioned the issues four days after our stay. Avoid!

Nothing everything was fine

The location of the property was excellent for the wedding we were attending. Lots of nice bars/restaurants close by. The kitchen area and bedrooms were all very nice. Lots the bathrooms too. It is a 3-story property so lots of stairs. Not a problem for us but may be a problem for some.

The lounge sofa was very grubby and we didn’t use it. It really lets the house down as a lovely room. Loose tap, handle loose on shower, a bit tired in places. There were only 2 wine glasses and we had to go to a local supermarket to buy some which is really disappointing. The basic’s for a house for 7 adults should be available. The key collection was terrible. We had an agreed time of 3pm and didn’t get the key until 5.15. The man at the mini mart where you have to collect key from was helpful, but the issue was with the property agents. The first call the lady agreed to call us back and didn’t. When we finally spoke to someone who seemed to know what they were doing (Issac) he was great and organised for us to collect a key from the office. A special thanks to him. Having read reviews (posted after we booked the property) this has happened to others.

Beautiful house, comfortable beds, lovely large kitchen.

Loud building work next door from 8 am, they were attacking the walls with a pneumatic drill. We'd chosen this house due it's quiet location but left with tinnitus. Host and Stay have not resolved my complaint 4 weeks later. They demanded a £350 deposit which was not mentioned at the booking stage. The disruptive building work and deposit were not mentioned in the booking landing page.

Excellent location especially to university as our son was graduating and meant we were in walking distance. Also close to city centre and pub and shop close by. The house itself was fabulous. Large and spacious for 5 adults. Beautifully decorated and everything we needed.

Whilst the house was clean, it would've benefited from a deeper clean as there was lots of cobwebs and damp smell. Although we didn't use the fire, it was full of ash. Theres a nice garden that could've been turned into a nice outdoor space to sit out as weather was beautiful.However overall this was a beautiful house and we loved staying there.

Location was great, 10-15 minute walk into town through lovely area. Rooms were spacious and lovely comfy beds. Kitchen was in basement, so lots of stairs if you were on top floor room, where 3 of the bedrooms were. Only master room on first floor.

We went to collect the keys from mini market and were told that they weren't there. I had received message to say property not ready until 4.30pm instead of 3pm check in. Not a great start, as two car loads of people, so had to go meet the other car at the property and tell them. No where to leave bags until check in, which was delayed. Cleaner gave us the key in the end. Permit parking area for one car only. So had to put other car in car park.
