Corona Hotel & Spa

Nicely appointed bar and restaurant, able and friendly bartender who, under orders from management, could not continue helping me to the standards he would have preferred.

After ordering a bucket of ice along with room service in the first room I occupied as part of my prepaid week-long stay and having it delivered with courtesy and professionalism, upon moving to another room and requesting ice, it was delivered in a small plastic bag. Since there are no ice machines in the hallways I walked to the restaurant, put ice in a metal pitcher and took it to my room. I was later told I had to vacate the premises and was no longer welcomed as a guest. I was offered no refund for unused nights and all my possessions were left behind. Therés more to the experience but in my estimation this hotel and its management are not worth or my continuing to devote time thingking and writing about them, not even reviewing or editing what I have just written here

The location and cleanliness overall were excellent. The parking lot in front of the hotel provides easy access. The complimentary breakfast was a nice addition, with conditions (You get what you get).

The beds were very very hard to sleep on. The complimentary breakfast was a first-come, first-served, you-get-what-you-get meal (no meat). There was French toast, but they decided not to make any more and put out bread for toast. There were three boxes of single-serving cereals at a time. The lady in charge of replenishing the complimentary breakfast items was cranky and would disappear into the kitchen, not coming out until later. Customers were asking the restaurant staff members for different items because no one was checking the chafers. I asked the lady for more toast, and she looked at me with a don't bother me face. She was the same for two days. Supposedly a high-quality hotel, but the reception staff and kitchen staff made my family feel as though we should be providing customer service to them.
