Oak Tree Cottage - Pendle - Forest of Bowland

Little touches for us and the dog. Location and views. Private yard, parking. Comfy beds. Decor and crockery. Everything was clean and sparkling. So homely and boxes of legs for the children who visited to play with.

My brother in law forgot a box of food and oils in the cupboard, he lives local and returned to the cottage to get those items but cleaners had already been in and removed the oil and balsamic from the box leaving just crackers and opened chrisps

Lovely size, everything basic you need. Comfy bed and beautiful kitchen - high quality appliances and good parking. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Beautiful views and lovely quiet area.

Felt a bit impersonal - no basics that you would usually find in this sort of place e.g. teabags or coffee/sugar. The heating was difficult to control, the monitor needs new batteries or replacing. Felt a bit like it was renovated to an extremely high standard but then just left as a money maker. The coffee presses need cleaning - didn’t touch.

Lovely little cottage, with everything you could need for a warm comfortable and relaxing stay. Picturesque location with easy access to Burnley, Blackburn, or out into the beautiful Lancashire countryside around Pendle hill.

The location was very peaceful.

The front door step is not set up safely as the pipe takes up some of the step and it was difficult for one of our party to navigate the step. The stove needs to have the stove manual close by as we're not all attune to modern stoves.
