Oak Tree Cottage - Pendle - Forest of Bowland

We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in the village yet we still felt we were on our holidays, with stunning views and it was so lovely and peaceful. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could ever need! The bedrooms were spacious and bright and the beds comfortable. The outside space was perfect to sit out in the evening too.

awful. crawling with red mites and insects. upstairs was uninhabited with insects all over the bed and in clothes and bathroom - even the towels! The host then calls her guests a liar and only refunds half the booking fee - I will be claiming the rest through legal and reporting this to trading standars.

couldn’t breathe in bedrooms and no air - couldn’t open ‘skylights’ unless you wanted a mouthful of red mites or to be roasted alive in the glare of sun thru unshaded glass. the smell in the whole accommodation was musty and everything in kitchen cupboards was dirty and had to be washed before use - the stair-rail detaches from the wall and nearly caused a serious accident - the furniture upstairs smells of mould and that gets into clothes. hanging wardrobe space was an old broom closet full of cobwebs and old hangers.
