The staff on reception were fantastic & always very helpful.

The mattress on my bed had seen better days & was uncomfortable. They don't tell you on Booking.com webpage that breakfast is served at another location. This was not an ideal location as there were many steps & we had informed the owner one of our party was in a wheelchair. We asked for a refund for the breakfast but was told this was too difficult to arrange. In the end the owner of the restaurant where breakfast is served put a table on the street so our daughter could eat breakfast with us. So we found a workaround.

The service wasn’t very friendly. The beds were very hard. The bathroom smelled bad (maybe bad plumbing?) from when we arrived until when we left. We had new towels when we arrived but they had forgotten to take out the dirty towels from the previous guests, which made us question how clean everything was? Also the breakfast was VERY disappointing. We booked this hotel because of the amazing breakfast reviews but they either stopped doing the really nice breakfast or they only do it during the busy season? They walked us to a buffet breakfast place less than 5 minutes away and the food wasn’t good. Also, we aren’t vegan but you wont be able to eat much if you are. The breakfast was bread, pre-cooked fried eggs, and the Laos breakfast porridge with meat in it? Wouldn’t have been as disappointing if we hadn’t been looking forward to the breakfast so much! But decided to not even get the breakfast the second day, even though it was already paid for. Definitely recommend staying somewhere else, especially because this stay was a more expensive option compared to others.
