Meadow View flat 1

Flat was easy to find, instructions were clear. Decor was interesting, not our taste, but none the less felt like it had been thought about and it felt very homely. Beds were very comfy. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Kitchen had most things you would need and a good size oven, fridge and freezer.

It was very hot in the flat there were fans in every room but one of them didn’t work. There is a lot of noise from the main road nearby. Can’t stand up to have a shower as it is just a shower head on the bath. Living room is a bit of a corridor but made good use of the space available in the flat. Didn’t like that the front door didn’t close properly without locking the door. We also noticed that someone had been into the flat when we were out. A bin had been changed, a window closed and the toilet seat was left up which it definitely wasn’t before! We had all of our things in the flat so felt a bit uneasy that someone had been in there without it being mentioned but we could clearly see that nothing of ours had been touched so may easily have just been a misunderstanding as we’d left the key in the key safe (we were going to a theme park and didn’t want to risk losing the key!)

Property was very clean and had lots of helpful supplies like toiletries and shampoo in the bathroom and oil, salt etc in the kitchen. Also supplied coffee pods for the coffee machine which was much appreciated. Owner gave info on accessing the property a week in advance which was also much appreciated as we could be prepared before travelling. Owner was also very responsive to messages.

There wasn’t really anywhere for 6 of us to sit and eat, a fold up table would have been great.

All rooms were a good size and the apartment had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and parking was easy. The nearby park was a great bonus with a child. Nearby large Sainsbury’s was great for self catering. We were really pleasantly surprised by the property.

Would have been good to have some hand soap in addition to all of the free toiletries that were provided.

Door to flat only closed when it was locked. When unlocked it did not stay shut. Instructions for key safe inside house and upstairs were not clear so I was relieved to meet the host!

A fantastic stay for a large family. Very clean and lovely decor. Some essentials are taken care of in the bathroom and kitchen which was a nice surprise! Lovely comfy beds and in a nice area close to a pub and country park! We stayed as was close to a wedding venue and there was a steamer for clothes which came in great use!! Highly recommend!!!
