V+B Hygge

Location was beautiful, modern, well equipped for self-catering. Great place to stay with dogs as it was very dog friendly and it was very joyful to walk around the site and relax by the lake.

Unfortunately the electricity went on the morning of our departure, we informed Anne-Marie of this and she advised she would get it resolved. This did have a bit of an unfortunate negative to the end of our trip as while I appreciate these things happen, we ultimately couldn’t use any of the facilities, we’d planned to have breakfast and a cup of tea in the lodge, of which none worked due to no electricity, myself and my daughter also could not have a shower to ensure we were clean and refreshed before our drive to Surrey and then back to Cornwall. I will be honest in saying I didn’t expect anything as such, but even an offer to pay/reimburse us for a cup of tea which we had to pay for at the onsite restaurant would have been a fabulous professional response but instead we were informed the cleaner/electrician would resolve the issue, at which point felt slightly impersonal as essentially we were leaving and didn’t really need to know that information via text. I completely realise it’s one of those things which no one had any control over, but it did feel a little bit sour that it wasn’t really acknowledged as to the true impact of the situation given we’d planned to have breakfast and a shower, neither of which we could do so felt we hadn’t set off as we had initially hoped. Internet didn’t work on the 2nd day of our stay, it stated that the account holder needed to purchase more data (we did not realise this was the case until the evening, we assumed the internet was down).

Location , ample parking, good directions given by owner to the lodge. Lodge had adequate items to make stay easy to cook for & eat in or outside for 4 people.

Towels not washed properly, smelt really bad - glad I'd taken my own as would have not had any to use.

We loved our time here, it's such a blissful place to stay, we will most definitely be back again

The location was incredible and the view is just stunning.

The lay out was perfect and was so comfortable. The property is set in an amazing location also.

Only thing that i missed between this place and my home was couple of umbrellas :). Lovely plave and very well tohought for the need of a traveller.
