Mactan Newtown Ocean View 360 Degree

Location was excellent, but the apartment was far and above most places I have stayed.

The fridge had issues, but since my stay was only three days the issue was not a deal breaker. Kudos for the washer and dryer though. Just a thought for future guests, maybe post a link or print instructions on the use of the machine especially the door locking mechanisms, Other than those minor issues this was the best place I have stayed in all 3 of my trips to the Philippines. This will be my home base for my next trip to the Philippines in the future!

The location is great and the staff at the reception were both helpful and accomodating. At one point, I asked them to hold some keys for a friend who was coming over while I was away and they happily obliged. Large room with a sizeable bathroom & kitchen. Nice of them to have their own beach section but it was extremely busy and hard to find a space (tip: don't take the shuttle, it's faster to walk).

While there was aircon, the thing was faulty with an open panel which looked like it had malfunctioned. The whole thing was extremely weak and felt like there was barely any air coming out so it made our stay quite unpleasant given the high 30s temperatures we were experiencing.

Near restaurant and groceries.

The moment we arrived cockroaches and ants are everywhere. For what we paid everyday in this unit is not worth it!! Everything is dirty and we need to ask for housekeeping to clean the unit. The carpet was so dirty and dusty.Also the toilet is smelly. The kitchen was full of cockroaches so we didn’t cook in the kitchen for 5 weeks of staying. The owner even said maybe because we didn’t throw our garbage away. We bought a lot of bugs trap.The washing machine is broken so we need to pay extra for laundry that we thought was included in the unit. No explanation regarding the parking or other facilities. AC in the living room has no remote. Many times people came to our unit to open the door in the middle of the night or early morning because they thought it was their unit. There’s a club downstairs and the music is loud woke us up many times. We payed too much for what it is. Not gonna come back here!!!!

They need to spray the place. We saw some dead and crawling little bugs. The pots and pans are old and don’t provide soap for cleaning. They provide liquid soap but they diluted with lots of water. They provide little cleaning towels in the kitchen, so we decided not to use or cook in the kitchen.

Location Cleanliness

Have some hand towels available and maybe some small shampoos, soaps, a few bottles of water in fridge.

I love the location, everything are there.

Only the washing machine is not working,
