Wells Street Cottages No 26 By The River Ness

Fantastic

It was a lovely little property, impeccably decorated. The location, too, is fantastic, involving a short walk from the station and the walk involves walking along the river for a few yards. We went there for two days with family and it was a very comfortable stay. The drawing and dining areas were especially beautiful and it was a tough call to choose between wanting to sleep and wanting to sit there and relax. The bedrooms too were very prettily coloured with beautiful upholstery and small things like table lamp etc. In love with the aesthetics of the house. On a more technical note, it had all the basic amenities (a little more than that) - possibly just no toiletries which weren't a problem as we were carrying ours. There was a small glitch in the beginning with the locksafe code (we'd have appreciated it if we were told before that the lock code was updated, wasn't the best day for standing out as it was raining continuously) but I'm not putting it in "dislike" as it was sorted immediately as I called the host. Apart from that, everything went very smoothly. We sincerely loved the place.

We liked the location of the cottage: close to the city centre & a wonderful supermarket nearby. We appreciated the fireplace very much.

We would have liked a cupboard or a closet for our clothes and other stuff in our bedroom.

The property was clean and spacious enough for our 2 night stay in Inverness. The location was perfect for exploring the town by foot and a short drive to Loch Ness. We were able to do a lot of sightseeing and shopping. The hosts were very responsive to our messages and helpful when we needed extra towels. Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great. The only suggestion is to fix the door to the bathroom. It was very difficult to open and close. Other than that the property was great.

Downstairs common areas are pleasant and appear to be somewhat recently remodeled.

Asked hosts for a couple of extra towels and they strictly refused. Was told that 2 guests equals 2 towels with no exceptions. First time being told no for a simple request of towels after traveling across 6 continents. If the owners read this... my wife uses 2 on her own (1 for hair).

Great little house and great location.

Struggled with the size of the bed in the main bedroom. It’s very small and there is a bottom on the bed which doesn’t help. Apart from that, excellent property.
