Golden sands holiday park- pitch H84

Jack was very easy to communicate with and was immediate with responses and solutions. Easy and clear check in instructions provided. We encountered an issue when arriving which unfortunately lasted until we left, from the previous guests who checked out earlier that day and Jack offered us a solution, but I would advise Jack to instruct the cleaners to leave windows on vent lock if guests change over frequently. Accommodation in a great location on site, quiet with easy access to site facilities and to Dawlish warren. Plenty to do on golden sands site and bonus that Jack includes site passes as this is a private rental, but consider you still have to book swimming slots and pay for some of the activities. Not Jacks fault but annoying golden sands only let you book and hour swimming slot and you have to be swift to get it booked as only way is to queue to book with lifeguard on the day you want to use the pools. Easy parking outside accommodation although Park holidays that operate the wider site need to make signage clearer, a tip would be to pick up a large paper map at reception. Outside terrace is in the sun almost all day long. Very nice and very quiet compared to other parts of the wider site. Accommodation was excellent value considering it was the end of school half term week. Despite my negatives below, I would stay again as we were with children and they had a great time and saw the adventure in everything and ultimately the accommodation is in a great location on site and a great location for the wider area amenities and facilities.

Accommodation sleeps up to 8 but not 8 of everything available - utensils and cutlery etc. there were 6 or 4 of some things. Twin rooms are really for children. Beds are small and uncomfortable but fine for a few days stay. Provision of some handwash would be helpful or small bar of soap. Expect to provide somethings yourself but a few basics would be nice Outside table on decking needed a good clean, this hadn’t been wiped over prior to arrival Accommodation isn’t the cleanest. Could do with a deep clean and or replacement of some items / furnishings / walls, I’m sure it was but I would have questioned if it had a thorough clean prior to our arrival. Feels like a bit of modernisation is required and this would be an absolute gem of an accommodation. Lack of electrical plugs in accommodation and those that are there are in inconvenient places Improvements could be made with some of the decorations and soft furnishing such as cushions on sofa and a lamp so you don’t need to have a large light on in the evening around lounge area. There are blinds on some windows but only curtains in the bedrooms which don’t really block out light.

Very pleasant caravan . Situated in a lovely part of a large very clean site with all facilities.

The location and the size.

It wasn’t as clean as it could be. The oven was dirty and so was the trays. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs. There was also a mark on the bedding. This is not a complaint as our overall stay was perfect.

Lovely site, great size accommodation with fully equipped kitchen. Short walk to restaurants bars and beach. Caravan was clean and spacious
