Wonderful stay with hosts Sue and Frank at Ford Down Farm B&B. Easy to find place, really well located on the edge of South Molton accessed via A361 North Devon link road. Lovely welcome from hosts. Lovely room with four poster! Honestly the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen at a private house. Dazzling array of flowers, plants, shrubs, colour and of course the INCREDIBLE wildlife!! Sat in their front garden and listened to sparrows, blackbirds, chiff chaff, blackcap, song thrush, nuthatch and to top it off watched a great spotted woodpecker feeding from Sue's bird feeder for about 10 minutes straight on two occasions! Frank kindly let us feed the chicken from our hands in the coup which was a cool highlight for us as we love chickens. SUPER quiet overnight, can hear a pin drop, my Wife and I had a lovely restful stay. Wonderful breakfast in the morning, great quality ingredients. Said good morning to the horses in the paddock before we left! We used this B&B for a family gathering at Northcote Manor and will DEF consider again in the future. If you are wanting an awesome farmhouse, rural, quiet, comfortable and welcoming stay - this is the place!
