The condition of the flat is good overall. The communal washing machine on the roof is handy.

From the beginning, it was not a pleasant experience. We got there quite late, because of the late flight, which we discussed with the hotel days before the arrival. It was meant to be ‘no problem’. Tired and hungry, we climbed the stairs with our heavy luggage, only to find the room in an absolute mess. Let’s just say that the room wasn’t cleaned after the last guest including a messy toilet. Also, it wasn’t the room we booked. After some back and forth with a confused night porter and understanding that the hotel has made a booking mistake, we were moved to a different hotel for the night, which was a much smaller room and we had to do another climb onto the third floor. The night porter was the nicest person we encountered and we felt sorry for him having to deal with the management’s disorganisation that impacted our booking. We didn’t have to pay for the one night at this hotel. The following afternoon, we were able to check in. We were ‘greeted’ by a moody cafe waitress (this was an ongoing theme with a few members of the staff at the cafe) and walked ourselves to our room (hello, third floor again). As we settled in the new place, which was a bit bigger than the one we booked free of charge, my partner burned his hand on the broken kettle, that we didn’t realise - didn’t stop boiling automatically and got extremely hot. When it came to the payment for the room, it turned out a charge needs to be applied to the credit card payment. It was the same issue if we wanted to pay with cash in the local currency. The charge was small, but after all the issues we have experienced here… a kind thing would be to at least try and make us feel welcome and offer some goodwill. Anyway, we paid it, although the charge like this has only happened in this hotel and not in any other places we travelled around in Laos. We didn’t get our room cleaned at all throughout our stay, and our original booking was for a week. I had to ask for fresh towel and bin bags.

Escalier etroit, entree batiment peu accueillant, et helas travaux en cours juste a cote.

There was breakfast available in the cafe. The coffee was fantastic

Nothing really. It was a pleasant stay. The owner arranged for a very early taxi to the airport. All went well.

Gteat Staff (friendly,.efficient, helpful), Location (very close to Night Market) Facilities (self contained Apartment with washing machine and clothes hanging upstairs), Cafe (breakfast included was delicious) and the coffee..made the way we like.

Construction work next door during our stay however, this is occurring throughout Laos and is not a reflection on the property.

It was very clean, nice facilities and a spacious room. Comfy bed as well! I especially loved that they had a free to use washing machine and laundry racks up on the roof.
