VLT214 - Charming Valletta Townhouse

Very old, charming and quirky townhouse, right in the centre of lively Valletta, with traditional Maltese balconies which had views down the street to the sea on 2 sides. Very easy walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and ferries to other attractions. Townhouse is over 4 floors, and was clean on our arrival. Plenty of hot water for showering, though taller guests may find the ceiling height in the bathroom a challenge. Wifi worked as expected. Kitchen was well equipped, though work surface limited. Host was very quick to respond to queries and the manager was very helpful when we arrived. There are aircon units in both bedrooms.

As a very old property, there is obviously no soundproofing, and no double glazing, which adds to the character of the place. Sadly it wasn't possible to close shutters in the living room or bedroom, which may have assisted in reducing a little of the street noise and light in addition to the curtains.

Loved the location - and the set up was good, hostw as responsive when we had an issue with TV, the rooms were good

Lots of stairs to negotiate, lots of traffic noise and washing machine etc noise from next door, 2nd bedroom as 2 single beds with not enough room to make a double up. but location so good and all the amenities you need override issues. wifi and water heater and TV all off line at source which we did not discover till following day.

This townhouse was a pleasure to stay to, high ceilings and authentic Maltese vibe. Located in city centre, 2-3 mins walk from everything.

The top floor bedroom needs constant ventilation, as the house is old.

The location is outstanding and ideal for exploring Valletta on foot. The house has a lot of charm and a very authentic, historic character, which made the stay feel unique and special. It has a lovely, original atmosphere and everything you need was available and functional.

As expected in a historic building, it was a bit cold at times, as the windows are not fully insulated and the portable heaters could have been more effective. Some areas also show signs of wear. The bed could be more comfortable, and one chair needed repair.

Tutto bene per noi. Per persone piu alte il soffitto del bagno e della camera matrimoniale puoi risultare un po' basso. Oppure la presenza di scale per passare nei diversi ambienti può risultare non adatta a tutti.
