The views. The apartment is stunning.

The apartment was modern, clean and comfortable.

We drove from Johannesburg, a journey of about 16 hours, and arrived at around 11am. Upon arrival, we contacted the number provided on our booking confirmation, which clearly states that the host can be contacted for assistance. We simply wanted to inform them that we had arrived, ask if we could access the parking, and check whether an early check-in might be possible. Unfortunately, this is where the experience took a very negative turn. We were questioned about why we were contacting the host at all and told that, as the owner, he should not be disturbed. We were very firmly told that we would not be allowed anywhere near the apartment until exactly 2pm. We were also informed that we could not access the parking area before 2pm, meaning that after a 16-hour drive, with two young children, we were expected to park on the road and wait. Shortly after, the person managing the apartment contacted us and shouted at us, accusing us of creating trouble by contacting the owner. This interaction was extremely unpleasant and unnecessary, especially given that we were simply following the instructions provided in the booking confirmation. After what was a very distressing and disappointing check-in experience, we were eventually taken into the apartment. To be fair, the apartment itself was modern, comfortable, and clean. We have stayed at many establishments over the years, but this experience was particularly surprising due to the lack of basic customer care, courtesy, and understanding. A long journey, young children, and a simple request for assistance were met with hostility rather than professionalism. I also noticed that responses from this host to other reviews tend to be defensive and dismissive, rather than showing a willingness to improve service, so I would not be surprised if this review receives a similar response.

Perfect location..away from the hustle and bustle. Close to the beach..we'll kept apartment. Hosts immediately addressed minor issues for a pleasant stay

No mirror in 2nd bedroom and side tables are too far from plug points, can’t use them
