Hill Garth Cottage - 2 Bed with Wood Burning Hot Tub

Everything was great. The accommodation dog friendly, nice and spacious. The hot tub is amazing. We were very happy

Key was on an app and my phone had issues a few times open the door. But after I connected to the WiFi it was fine. So not a big issue really.

Good location, well decorated.

Expectation to strip beds, fill hot tub, get rid of rubbish, dogs not allowed on furniture, paying £20 for enough wood to last 3 hours.

The decor

It’s been horrendous, someone tried to open our door then posted potatoes through letter box, we asked for the hottub to be filled, we had to wash it and fill it ourselves, we lost the first night there in hottub as there was no outside lights, second night you pay £20 for hottub but you need to allow £60 as they don’t supply enough logs, the floors are so bad squeezing that anyone going to toilet on a night wakes house up, the boiler in the second room keeps kicking in and is so loud wakes you up, the toilet is in the kitchen so while cooking breakfast people are doing morning routines not appropriate,

The facilities were of high quality with lovely features such as a coffee machine in the bedroom, cosy blankets, torches, and a really nice shower.... To name.just a few. We have been made to feel.really welcome from the start. A real bonus was the wood fires hot tub in the secluded garden. It was chemical free and didn't take too long to warm up. Superb! We would definitely come back.. The late check out was nice too

We thought all of it was nice. A further touch might be dressing gowns to use with the hot tub? But this isn't essential

The extra charge for logs that is not mentioned anywhere in the initial description- or the cost to bring your own- also all the rules!!

It was spotless and well decorated, very central to the town, everything you could need for your stay

Single glazing, so a bit of road noise, curtains at the windows would have helped keep the heat especially in the winter months it would probably save the owner on bills too.

Location great. Property very clean and fairly well equipped. Arrived 15 mins early so the phone lock was amended for us.

Would have preferred a physical code rather than having to use the phone to get in and relock the door as the phone is very sensitive and it sometimes took a few attempts to lock the door.
