Cosy and modern 1 bedroom garden house - very dog friendly!

The pod is excellent, very comfortable and Tina the host spent 5 minutes showing us around and explaining how heating worked, WiFi etc.

Pillows were far too soft for us but that is just personal preference. I'd change the access to the property to give guests their own entrance away from the main house. This would have made us feel a bit more comfortable.

Tina our host was friendly and helpful from the start

Tina, the owner was most helpful and welcoming. She had supplied milk, tea & coffee, and some lovely free range eggs from her little flock of 6 hens - delicious. The garden house had a useful kitchenette (Mic, 2 hobs, fridge) with basic cutlery etc. Double bed, comfortable with duvet. Heating was adjustable and worked fine. Good shower. Modern tv with plenty of channels. Sofa and armchair, good lighting. The garden house is in the grounds of her cottage, and there are two other homes close by. There is parking right outside the house, down a short unmade lane. It was very quiet and I slept very well. You might hear a rooster nearby but he's not too early! The roads in this part of rural Aberdeenshire are blissfully quiet and empty of traffic.

Nothing really. It is dog-friendly (I don't have a dog but like them) and Tina has 2 herself. One is quite large but friendly but can be a bit boisterous. Her big ginger Maine Coon cat would love to come into your space if you let him!

Home away from home or even better. Very cosy, warm, quiet little house in the countryside. Fully stocked kitchenette. Super friendly host who went above and beyond to welcome me.

I only stayed for one night, but it was a truly lovely experience. I arrived quite late in the evening, and the host was incredibly kind and patient, giving me clear and detailed instructions on how to reach the house. The whole process felt so warm and thoughtful — I could immediately tell that the host is a genuinely good person. The house is small but very cozy, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It’s surrounded by beautiful countryside, with peaceful fields right outside the door. It’s an ideal place for those attending weddings nearby or looking to go hiking in the area. I was traveling with friends and we all really enjoyed our short stay. Highly recommended — a hidden gem!
