Chateau de Woodlawn - Room III - The Dream Catcher

Small room but nice home. The bathroom itself was bigger than my room and the best part of the stay, clean and spacious with amenities even though it's shared. Only takes 1 bus to get into the city so that is convenient.

We only saw one bug while we were staying there but the towels and bed sheets were very worn down and itchy. The neighborhood is really rough, if you ask any local, they'll tell you it's a hard place to get out of alive.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön. Wir hatten Glück und hatten die gesamte Wohnung für uns alleine. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns tolle Tipps für unseren Besuch in Chicago gegeben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Der Raum war sehr klein. Es wäre kein Platz für unsere Koffer gewesen. Zum Glück konnten wir die Gemeinschaftsräume alleine nutzen.

Cozy room in a private house. Small, but comfortable. Facilities are OK, bathroom and kitchen are fully equipped, so you will find everything you need.

There is only one bathroom for 3 rooms (up to 6 people), so it could be a wait sometimes. Could be noisy because of the area and the neighbors like loud music. Quite long way from downtown by public transport (L station is within 10-15 min walk, bus stop is closer, but the buses are really slow) - not related to the property itself, mostly to Chicago transport system. Also my wife didn't feel safe in the area.

It was very clean and quiet. It was easy to find as well!

The property is far away from the city of Chicago and in a stretchy arena.

There was one reviewer who said the location was in a run-down area. There are parts outside the neighborhood that might be, but the location is in a nice, older, well-established neighborhood, and the people there keep up their properties. The streets are clean, and some homes have been newly renovated. There is plenty of street parking. The home is well-kept and comfortable.

For the less adventurous traveler, this might not be the property for you. There are three rooms, and each has its own keypad entry, but the kitchen, dining room, entertainment area, and one bathroom are all common areas, so if you aren't comfortable sharing these spaces, find another place to stay.
